You could use some disk image tools, after your fresh install of OS and applications and configured to your preferred, then store the disk image of C: to D: drive. Next time when you want to reinstall, you just need to boot to a DOS floppy and restore the images from D:. You could store images for several OSs. Of course you needs to partition your HD into two drives, or you could store image to a Zip drive as long as you can boot to this drive.
