and people complain about the BTC miners using all that electricity.

BTC uses less electricity than some banker lounging about the office.

What about fiat? They have to design a paper note that is not easily forged I suppose, but that is about it.

I have heard that 50% of all UK pound coins were forgeries, that why they had to change them to a Reuleaux polygon design, from the round one copied by criminal gangs.
