I think what we see is the revenge of the bureaucrats and “experts”. They don’t want to keep getting pushed around by all those elected amateurs. And what can be better than if they’re half demented or damaged like Fetterman. They just vote as told, read prompters, sign on dotted lines - and enjoy the glory. And life goes on.
