I noticed this latest Kherson “controversy” this morning. Several people on TWTR that I follow were trying to figure out what the heck is going on - Russia just made the city part of their federation, part of homeland - and suddenly, they’re about to abandon it. But later, I noted claims that it’s all an invention - and that they’re going to defend Kherson.

If they abandon the city virtually without a fight, their credibility would be severely compromised. If they couldn’t arrange it’s defense - that would also raise big questions. Supposedly, they have in Ukraine over 200K more personnel.

Ukraine's Security Forces, reputedly, can be pretty heavy handed in their handling of “collaborators”. And it doesn’t take much to be accused of being one.

Remains to be seen.
