Looks like they are leaving Kherson after all. If the dam is damaged, the flooding could make it impossible to defend the city - and may cause many casualties.

In the second tweet we get it directly from the horses mouth. Surovikin is the commanding general of the entire Russian AF in Ukraine. Shoygu is Russia's defense minister.
