I have no problem with you or anyone else wearing a mask all the time. What I do have a problem with is government telling me that I need to mask up or take vaccinations as a condition of keeping a public sector job. And I do understand that you were being considerate and did not want to infect anyone. I have been hearing all this support for mask and vaccination mandates among the Left on SI and from the Biden Administration and the fact is that liberals in FL and NY overwhelmingly don't like the mandates, some of which are still in effect today in NYC. I don't think people out West understand that there has been a mass exodus outside of NYC because of these mandates. Liberals don't like the mandates in NYC. And the liberals do like the way Desantis handled Covid in FL. DeSantis went from winning the State with a .4% victory to over a 20% victory based primarily on how he handled Covid without locking down the economy and without restrictions. Governor Sisolak is getting booted out of Nevada because of his Covid restrictions and financial penalties on those who refused to get vaccinated. I've also been hearing some sick shit that those who are not vaccinated should not be taken care of if they need to go to the emergency room. Fortunately, that has not been instituted ( as far as I'm aware) anywhere in the country. Dems have held up well during the midterms because they are dealing with a psycho in Donald Trump and all his handpicked election deniers. The task won't be so easy if DeSantis wins the Republican nomination. DeSantis garnered lots of liberal support due to the way he handled Covid. I see your Governor won pretty handily too. I consider it a big negative for the Left to maintain their holier than thou attitude towards mask and vaccination mandates. Fact is the Left is going to flee the Dem Party like many Republicans have left Trump if the Dem Party doesn't change their tune toward mask and vaccination mandates. And there is plenty of evidence in FL, NV and NY to support what I am saying.
