An aircraft carrier, battleship or submarine seem so last century. Good for blowing up Aotearoa-Zimbabwe but with fast, clever, cheap and small rocketry carrying bullseye accurate targeting, they look absurdly vulnerable.

Even with million round per minute clever defence targeting they look vulnerable to swarms of incoming smoke, mirrors, confusion, jamming, spoofing, blinding and neutron bombing.

One aircraft carrier costs over a million dollars. Over $10 million. That's just the grocery bill. $100 million wouldn't pay the salaries. $1 billion is the starting figure. Anyway, the $$s are many.

Little petrol powered rockets that can go far further than an A35 fighter jet cost $100,000 amounts, including electro-photonic navigation, targeting and reporting. 1000 x 100,000 = $100 million.

Submarines could be found once, then followed by packs of tiny drone submarines. Hiding underwater isn't as easy as it was when looking around the horizon was how to find things

Cooperation is a better idea. Live and lt live. The old Malthusian Hobbesian need for tribal genocide due to overpopulation ended with contraception and is confirmed by population declines across the "civilized" world.

China, Japan, Eurostan, USA are shrivelling, literally, as we age, with numbers maintained by invaders in Europe/USA.

Invaders don't adopt local values so Eurostan, USA will look more like Syria, Nigeria, Colombia, Pakistan, South Afica as they are taken over.

The wealth and cash flow are being depleted by bludgerdom cronyism, kleptocracy, corruptocrats and accelerating decline of VVVs.

Italy/Roman Empire were once great and glorious. Looks like John Stuart Mill, John Milton et al have also had their day.

The problem with Made in China/North Korea style megalomania and suppression of individuals is that it discourages individuals. Living in Belgium 35 years ago was strict and compliant. Civilized and great to live in, but a police state in the nicest way. A group of us then discussed the lack of innovation in Belgium and I think it was Peter Goosens who explained to me the self-imposed psychic inhibition of Belgians.

I guess in China you know not to have a negative inflection in anything you write about Emperor Pooh Xi. Not as dramatic as lesse majeste in North Korea where hungry guard dogs need feeding.

Watching Emperor Pooh Xi have his elder respected previous leader frog-marched off stage was like watching Putin bowed before the memorial to bygone soldiers for many minutes before he said "Go".

Made in China respect for elders was not on display.

Did you see Hu Jintao's little steps as we was half-carried off stage? They were visible once he and his captor had cleared the last coward and row of desk. It was not a willing walk.

Amusing that the voting in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine is disputed by Yanks even while USA conducts fraudulent voting.

I guess Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk did indeed choose Brexit from Ukraine. Just as Scots chose Union with England. As did Northern Ireland.

Voting is much nicer than murder. Unless the vote is among 2 wolves and a sheep on what they should have for dinner. Democracy needs a private property, free enterprise constitution. Voting to take opm leads to decline and failure - as happened as voting was increased to include bludgers.
