DeSantis will absolutely lose if he runs in '24 without Trump's endorsement. I hope DeSantis knows that. I hope he knows better than to expect real support from the GOP poobahs.
Agree. The party would be hopelessly split. The Big Tent will burn. Which is something for Trump to consider.

If elected in 2024, on the day of inauguration he will be just a few months under 79. Not a good age to start a presidential term. The problem with aging is not only that it’s unstoppable - but it can happen in spurts, and unpredictably.
