The lego computer controlled toys are: legomindstorms.com - This is based on a Motorola chip like the HC11. - These are probably using the Fred Martin Handy Board.. Motorola: MC68HC11A1 - These can by programmed in 'C' and downloaded lcs.www.media.mit.edu They mention 6.270 at the Lego site, so I am sure of it since this is Fred Martins baby at MIT. Whether to call it a robot is a different issue. Lego/VR/SGI: sgi.com MIPS: sgi.com sgi.com The HC11s are pretty low level. Actually you can build more robust, dynamic robots via Nervous Nets (no CPUs), which are closer to living systems. (Don't get me started <grin> ) Mark
