Philip: I agree with you mentioning that it is (was?) more urgent for Apple to gain profitability versus increasing market share. The sine qua non condition of any business is to make money; you can not declare a dividend with "market share" but with cash. After you have stabilized the business with healthy gross and net margins then you can invest to increase market share and eventually earn more money. I maybe wrong but I sincerely think Jobs is doing and will be doing the right thing for Apple; you see he is not your usual CEO but Apple is not as well your usual Corporation.
