Right you are!! Here's what First Calls estimates are as of 2/9:

EARNINGS ESTIMATES CONSENSUS TRENDS
.......................................3/98........6/98........YR 98.....YR 99...
Current Mean 0.14 0.17 0.76 1.05
7-days ago Mean 0.14 0.17 0.76 1.06
30-days ago Mean 0.14 0.17 0.79 1.11
60-days ago Mean 0.16 0.19 0.87 1.22
90-days ago Mean 0.17 0.20 0.86 1.22

Looks like we lost another penny on '99 when one of the minor
analysts finally bothered to revise his estimates from Fall of 1997.
Hope this comes out OK.

RECOMMENDATIONS LONG TERM GROWTH RATES

Current Mean 2.3 Next 5 yrs - Median 40%
Number of Brokers 8 Number of Brokers 5
Industry Recommendation: 2.4 Industry Growth Rate: 15%

7-days ago Mean 2.1 Next 5 yrs - High 50%
30-days ago Mean 2.1 Next 5 yrs - Low 30%
60-days ago Mean 1.5 Last 5 Years NM
90-days ago Mean 1.5

Anyway the estimates should start heading up from here. I think
Ucan's forte is finding bargains in Asia so I agree we should see
some benefit in the short-term on purchases there. Unless we're
locked into an unfavorable agreement in which case "Off with his
head!!!" Anyway I'd expect that Wall St has overreacted in lowering
estimates.

BTW here's a pretty cool event happening at MFaol next week:

Next Week's Duel: Rainforest Cafe

Out of the Amazon and into the rain forest we go as we take on
themed restaurant chain Rainforest Cafe (Nasdaq: RAIN) next week.

Rick Munarriz (TMF Edible) and Jim Surowiecki (TMF Cinder) will
bypass the appetizers and go straight for the main course in what will
certainly be a rumble in the jungle. Will Rick's bullish case be filling?
Will Jim's bearish case give Rick indigestion?

There's only one way to find out -- join us for a simmering
soul-searching safari in the never-ending hunt for wisdom, debate,
and some really good bread pudding.

So, until next week -- Will Duel for Fool!

Regards,
Dennis
