Disagree. This nonsense about candidate quality is McConnell driven garbage. Some of the best republican candidates I can remember ran this year. (Okay, you had Oz and Herschell -- but they ran against purely inferior Democrats.)

In my opinion, this election turned on two things: abortion and "democracy" (aka Trump). Emotion was more important to voters than the economy.

It's no longer "the economy stupid."
