Will Trump finally fade away from relevancy if he loses to Desantis? We know he will not keep quiet and will bash Desantis to the very end, but will his devout supporters move on from him and vote for Desantis? Common sense should dictate that if the goal is to beat the Dem, especially if it is a liberal Dem. It also depends on the nature of the attack on Desantis and whether it has any substance to it. If it is just the rantings and ravings of an old bitter man, then perhaps many will ignore Trump. But Trump could run as a third party candidate if he loses to Desantis in the primary. In that scenario, the Dem would certainly win.

Support for Biden is very lukewarm and in many instances just an anti-Trump vote. Pragmatic votes can be very solid too.

On the other hand, if the Dems can tie some of Desantis positions to those of Trump, then Desantis could be in trouble. It all should be interesting.

In many respects, I will be an outsider to all this, as I never found anything positive about the Donald having grown up in the same State with him.
