If you look at the polls they were extremely close, mostly within the margin of error. The problem is when a poll is within the margin of error, it is different from almost all of them being within the margin of error, and when the error leans the same way.
Clearly, polls were not getting some essential demographic.
At its core the Supreme Court set the stage for this outcome. And Biden sealed with the student loans lie.

The price we paid for reducing the abuse of the abortion law was this election. It was poorly timed.

Since the 2020 election, nearly half the states have outlawed large contributors to election operations having any say over distribution of money.
