Mytec has within the past week updated its web site at:
mytec.com
The following is an abstract from its Update page, which although it does not say anything different from what is currently known may be a good place to obtain current information in the future. This depends on the frequency of updates.
Update On Mytec
January 15, 1998
Mytec Technologies Inc. understands the importance of keeping our investors on top of current issues. One of the ways for us to demonstrate our commitment is to update and inform you of our progress and coming events. We hope that you will benefit from this Update, which will be distributed on a regular basis beginning with this issue.
TOUCHSTONET - The first shipment
Shortly after Mytec launched the TouchstoneT product on December 1, 1997, TRW, an aerospace and electronics company in Ohio, received its first shipment three weeks later, on December 23. TRW will be implementing Touchstone for use in secure network access and password management. Mytec looks forward to its ongoing relationship with TRW in 1998.
DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT IN THE UK
On January 9, 1998, we announced an agreement with Aerotech World Trade Corporation of Maidenhead, England, for the distribution of TouchstoneT throughout Europe and the Middle East. Aerotech is a highly approved company that has been serving the British, European, and Middle East markets for more than 50 years. By expanding Mytec's relationships with first-class distributors, the company is certain to increase the demand for Mytec's TouchstoneT device.
BIOMETRIC ENCRYPTIONT - The scientific details
On January 15, 1998 at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, Mytec presented, for the first time, the scientific details of its patented Biometric EncryptionT algorithm - a highly advanced encryption key management process.
Dr. Colin Soutar, Mytec's Director of Research and Development, presented technical details of the Biometric EncryptionT algorithm, and discussed the importance of encryption key management. Dr. Soutar also demonstrated how Biometric EncryptionT can be used with any existing encryption key algorithm (including RSA) for a higher level of data security. Dr. Soutar has a Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Abertay Dundee in the UK and has previously worked for NASA's Johnson Space Center.
MYTEC TO BEEF UP MARKETING AND SALES
Mytec, in the process of hiring a new Director of Marketing, will also be hiring an additional salesperson in the following months. This will allow us better coverage of our sales divisions - Direct Sales Canada, Direct Sales US and Channel Sales Canada.
WE'RE MOVING
Effective January 16, 1998, Mytec and Counterforce will be moving to a new office located at Leslie and Sheppard. The timing of this move couldn't be better, as the five-year lease at our current location has ended. The new office will provide a better use of space, an improved phone system, and upgrades to the Counterforce station, all of which will improve overall operational costs. Look for our Mytec sign as you drive along the 401 near Leslie!
MYTEC HAS A NEW WEB SITE
Starting in February, you will be able to access our new and improved web site at www.mytec.com. Mytec has developed the new site to include graphic enhancements, up-to-date information, a monthly President's letter, and new hotlinks.
