I have read several studies, trying to estimate the long-term sustainable carrying capacity of the planet. Fact-based estimates range from 1 to 5 billion humans. The upper end of that range requires all of us to become vegetarian. Yet 10 billion by 2050 is inevitable, unless something truly catastrophic happens. Like 3 degrees of global warming. Hopefully, I will be dead, before Gaia pushes the Reset button.
