How very progressive of TJ. Sounds like a living breathing Constitutionalist. Generations are not discrete. Just like Ayn Rand is not always right, Jefferson seems to be a little off track on that one. Of course, we always have plan B. Until we don't. You can vote yourself into Communism, but you have to shoot your way out. Not sure to attribute that one to, but it's close enough. Funny that the Soviet Union showed us that it didn't have to be true. I think we're about to find out that you can lie and cheat and ignore your government into Corruption. Waiting to see how we get out. More cheating? More lying? More money? More shooting? More brutal honesty? Yep. With ourselves. Democrats believe in the "will" of the majority, with some more willing than others to assert that will in an unequal way. Republicans believe in the rule of law - equally applied, especially the law of the founders. Doesn't even have to be a majority, as attested to by the populations represented by the electoral college.
