| | | The fundamental mistake the Climate Change/Global Warming/Greenhouse Effect Doomsters make is thinking Earth was in Balance. Al Gore even named his book using the idea to frighten ignorant credulous people.
Earth was not only never in Balance, it was always on a one way trip from a hot ball of old star plasma to a crystallised snowball finally to be engulfed in a red star end of life.
A major part of the crystallisation process was the stripping of CO2 from the atmosphere and ecosphere and the burial of that previously atmospheric carbon in limestone, coal, peat, tars, oils, gas deposits in the quadrillions of tons.
It was a colossal Tragedy of the Commons = each living thing had to get some carbon or die. And they all died anyway, with oceanic sediment kilometres thick being one graveyard, and shells, bones being another (vast limestone deposits), and coal/ peat being another for swamped forests.
People arrived and recycled a bit of that graveyard carbon back into the ecosphere. The chlorophyll crowd can now breathe easier, and need less water. Earth is recovering a little.
400 ppm CO2 is much better than 300 ppm. Getting there took 100 years extracting easily accessible carbon.
Getting to 500 ppm will be harder.
The heating theories were wrong. The sea level rise theories were wrong. The tropospheric hot spot theory was wrong. Computer simulations of climate were laughably simplistic and wrong.
Climate alarmists want loot and to boss people around. If they actually believed their own bullshit they would refuse to fly on an aircraft. They would insist on virtual discussions.
They would have adopted my carbon tax proposal of 1984 = cut tax on computers, food, incomes, bicycles etc, and charge tax on carbon of $1, $10, $100 per kilogram as required to reduce CO2 production. With overall tax cuts.
Instead they adopted the emissions trading scam. Pack of crooks.
If they did introduce a carbon tax it was just another extra tax robbery for more wastrel spendthrift stupidity. Of course electorates reject being robbed and insulted while watching the thieving scum flying first class to luxury CO2 jamborees in Cancun.
