WTIC daily showing a virtual floor was hit earlier today. The US government has said they would buy to fill the SPR at $70/bbl, and they did exactly that today. A total of 18-million bbl of oil were purchased today between the June 2024 and Dec. 2024 contracts at an average of about $70/bbl. Price bounced up hard after that happened:
