Recent highlights - all on APV or PBS.

Britbox "What Remains" is another taut 4-part mystery where a sudden discovery tears the lid off lots of dark secrets in a house with several flats.

"Gideon's Daughter" is a typical Bill Nighy vehicle with his dry remarks as an aging PR guru who is less interested in his work the more famous he gets.

"Magpie Murders" just wrapped on PBS with a satisfying whodunnit ending. Ditto "Miss Scarlett and the Duke" though that one feels more like going through the motions now.

"The Lost Battalion" is a WW1 true story that I somehow missed in the pantheon of war movies. Brave unit is cut off and surrounded for days awaiting rescue. Bloody but well done. There are a couple of true story flicks set in Vietnam that are very similar, "We Were Soldiers" and an Aussie story I posted about here before.

My wife had never seen "Boston Legal" or "Ally McBeal" so we went back to watch their debut episodes. Still entertaining for post-murder-show watching when we need something light.

I bought the hard copy "British TV Streaming Guide" on Amazon and just scratched the surface so far. A couple of these were discovered there.
