I agree. It's not at all like Ben Johnson's loss of the medal. Steroid use basically produces unnatural muscle volume and all things being equal an advantage to the user. But they say that it enhances where I would think that it most likely inhibits peak performance. So it seems ludicrous to take it away. What I think it really is, is moralistic, though I probably am being moralistic myself in thinking it.

So the message they would rather send to today's youth is that it enhances performance. That will make young people want to stay away. "Surgeon General Warning: Smoking this substance may lead to peak performance." :^)
