| | | I don't believe the acquired taste theory other than that as with so much in human life, there's a spectrum. People who are ambivalent might well swing that way. Or not. Such as Bruce Jenner, who now claims to have transitioned.
In fact, many homosexual men who were perhaps ambivalent did actually marry women, as cover, in the closet, for self-protection and self-identity reasons, fear and confusion. Bruce Jenner for example.
I guess he'd say he was always as he is, but acted the other way in his early decades. Going against the norm is tough work. Just having a different opinion leads to cancellation, or actual violence.
For example, being a PureBlood covid vaxx denialist led to being fired, abused, arrested, held prisoner, refused entry etc in Aotearoa-Zimbabwe despite there being no epidemiology to back the Vaxx. Especially in children which I consider criminal assault.
Opinions, ideas, facts, questions were banned.
The LLL went at the Speed of Science. Money didn't matter. Now there are more people dying than from Covid. Excess deaths vs Vaxx gives better correlation than CO2 and air temperature.
