For Western countries, Ukraine has become the best weapons testing ground for testing new systems of American and European weapons. This is written by The New York Times correspondent Lara Jakes.
“Ukraine is the best testing ground, since we have the opportunity to test all hypotheses in combat and introduce revolutionary changes in military technologies and modern warfare,” Mikhail Fedorov, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, was quoted as saying.
Weapons, in addition to the Delta command and control system, include remote-controlled boats, anti-drone weapons known as "Skyvipers", as well as an updated version of the air defense system created in Germany, which "the German military itself has not yet used."
Thanks to the trial use of Western weapons in Ukraine, defense officials and planners in Washington and their allies can predict "how to invest in military spending in the future," the columnist writes.
