Bad ideas are for a country and it’s people to roll over and play dead when the unprofessional mass murdering Russian army invades and claims it’s their land.

That’s about the extent of thoughtful analysis I’ve seen critics of Ukraine defending their desire for independents put together.

Everything else is just noise about past historical blames of why it was necessary from a Russian point of view, coupled with fear of the unknown (MAD), will kill us all.

The reality is none of the gloom and doom scenarios have happened, while Ukraine has pushed back against the invasion and reclaimed large areas of their country. That’s happened In complete contradiction to the prediction of the supposed experts, who claimed with absolute certainty the Russian army would overthrow the government of Ukraine in a matter of days.

On the one hand we have reality staring us straight in the face, on the other hand we have a broad based fictional story of fear of nuclear Armageddon - always in the near future, but never panning out.

I’ll take reality over fear any day.
