Lynching is a reasonable response. Using state power as cover for crime is old as the hills.with very well armed citizens, there is greater risk to government criminals. But even just with pitchforks, once the mob is enraged, there is no stopping them. The police are vulnerable in their houses so they can go gestapo to only a limited extent. Pelosi's house was not impenetrable. Did they really think they could attack Rand Paul and shops and citizens with impunity? Maxine Waters and others galore calling for attack on Trumpists in particular and Republicans in general. Leadership is interesting. Rittenhouse was just a young man doing the right thing. The attacks on him and his successful defence made him a leader. Mqurice
