I often marvel at the Wildebeest fighting off the pack of hungry lions. He just keeps going. I saw one of those videos a couple weeks ago where they had all gathered 'round to devoir the poor live wildebeest, it was hopeless. One old lion was gnawing on his backbone. He was helpless.

And suddenly, two of the lions get into a fight about where they're going to sit. A little growling then it got a little more serious and soon, all the lions were in the act. They forgot about the delicious meal awaiting them, and the Wildebeest got up and walked off. You could see the bones in his spine where there was nothing covering them. But he walked fine. Maybe he died later.

Trump is kind of like this animal: Under attack from all sides, the situation looks hopeless, but the Dems are starting to get pissed at Cheney. The AG has over-stepped and is clearly going for a kill shot against Trump with multiple investigations.

And the Republicans, if their cards are played right, can foment dissention among them and create an opportunity. Whether that means Trump would be salvaged in some way or DeSantis steps in and fends off the Democrats, I don't know.

This is the ugliest political storm I've ever seen. I have started to lean a little more toward DeSantis, but these developments make me question whether Trump needs to use everything he has to fight these people back. I do believe they are horrible.

But I have to admit that some of it is just wanting to see Trump deliver the final blow against these political hacks.
