Ukraine is not a part of NATO so the US is not obligated to defend a non-NATO nation and Ukraine is not a state or territory of the US. So how is the US national security at risk. If you believe Russia poses a national security risk to Europe, why hasn't the EU demanded NATO send troops in Ukraine to protect its national interests. You keep pushing straw man arguments that not relevant in this conflict.
