Prolly a good assessment for stills... I have an (old now) DX7000 with a honking big Sigma Omicron 150-600mm lens (looks like a Bazooka LOL) but I got it for sport photos mostly of my son and his team ski racing ... with 7fps you could cover most of a GS or SL race from one spot very well... worked well for hockey also .. anything fast... Yes I took mostly RAW also.. Lots of memory cards LOL
