One of the best cases to make for taking profits here is that with the interest rates high enough and fears of a recession looming, the risk/rewards favor bonds over stocks. Why would anyone risk a 10% - 20% drop and buy here - even if the October lows were the final lows - rather than make 4% - 6% in bonds and take a chance that interest rates will drop when the recession hits?

At the very least, one should wait for a much better entry (i.e. buy near November lows) than to buy here. At least that was my thinking for shorting the market last week.
