I remember the ad jingle "Texaco Sky Chief, it's localized for you"..



My first job as a teenager was pumping gas at a Texaco station. Cleaned your windshield and checked your oil and tire pressure as well. All for .29 cents a gallon, and S & H Green Stamps with every purchase (boss hated 'em).

Gasoline blends had names then, as did the cars we fueled up. Starfire, Skyliner, Rocket 88, Stingray, Barracuda, Cougar, all my friends were total car nuts back then, myself included. Don't much care what they're putting out now, with a few exceptions that EVs will soon kill..
