I own no crypto, but I'm seeing a trend at using community sales platforms as coerced collection agents for a de facto VAT for every sale. Small time sales where there is no underlying business used to offset profits will wind up donating wealth to whatever political cause our rulers see fit.
Once it goes digital, it won't be limited to the sales platforms (ebay, Amazon, etsy, etc.). Then it will be everything, including eggs, canned goods,- whatever you might have excess of to sell to a neighbor.
We're going back to the days of Robin Hood, but robbin' is what they're doing in the DC 'hood.
