My dad just got back from Washingotn D.C. tonight, and in the plane back he was sitting next to an official of the International Development Corporation, an agency that works to facilitate big infrastructure projects throughout the world. The gentleman said they used to work under the State Department and now are transitioning to the Commerce Dept. The conversation came up as to the way Commerce is gearing up for 100% transactions thru the Internet and when my dad asked about network security. The gentleman said that should be no problem, that Commerce had evaluated the products available and had established the Net was safe, thanks to what is available right now. Since my dad also owns Secure, he asked if the gentleman was familiar with the firms involved that had been evaluated and much to my dad's surprise the gentleman said he had seen a report provided by consultants. My dad was even more surprised when the man said that of all the firms evaluated, the name Secure Computing was at the top in several categories. My dad said that report should be available from Secure and will call the company to try to get it. He was greatly surprised too when he saw the jump today!
