As in WWI, it seems that those in charge will not stop before the carnage is world record.
I wonder whether there isn't a sadist masochistic murderous streak in a large proportion of humans that they really want murderous carnage in their lives, at least once, [because once they've experienced it they get all whimpery and start saying "never again" and building memorials and acting all sad]. Watch foaming at the mouth soccer fans to see the mob blood-lust barely below the surface.

25 years ago, I predicted the Germans would start goose-stepping again and here they go. I watched a group of tough young leather-jacketed beer drinking German men and it seemed they were just waiting for the situation to get their Reichs going again = third Reich went down in flames. Trying again.
