Jack, no need to talk alone, you've got friends out here in e-land! [Eland - isn't that some sorta large So African antelope?] Well, never mind....speaking of e-things, I want to recommend E-trade. Not that I have experience with any other on-line brokers, mind you - I only know this one, but have been quite satisfied. Oh, you will have to wait on the telephone for 4 or 5 minutes sometimes and listen to bad jazz, but just once to get set up & the call is free (1-800-786-2575). And the trades are cheap - $19.95 for otc and (I think) $14.95 for NSE transactions - 5 shares or 500,000 shares. Best of all, once you have an account set up, you can do it all by clicks of the mouse. It's $1000 minimum cash or securities & they will be more than happy to handle all details of moving stock from your full-service-markup SEP-IRA guys to theirs! My dad moved his stocks over and wondered why in heck he had just paid over $500 for the same "service" at the other "brokers" and was still required to talk to some bozo for the privilege.
