When I lived in NV, I did a lot of Jeeping and exploring out in the desert. Visited quite a few of the "alternative energy" plants out in the middle of nowhere, including Ormat's geothermal facility outside of Austin and the since shuttered molten salt solar fiasco outside of Tonopah.

The problem for you greenie energy guys is that the native NV Indians and Sierra Club nutters consider every frog, bug and weed as sacred. Harry Reid, before he croaked, managed to jam though a number of projects, but he's not around for the latest. Too bad that the asshole killed Yucca Mt, though..

Proposed Silver Peak lithium mine held up for rare dandelion. Guess all the raw materials for the "great transition" will continue to come from slave labor, environmental destruction and child exploitation overseas. Out of sight and out of mind, as you plug in your expensive EV toys..
