Right now, his backup is Josh Johnson. They may make a claim for Baker Mayfield, but someone with a lesser record (Seattle?) most likely gets him. Purdy sure looked confident - he's got some swagger, and did not look like a scared rookie. It'll be interesting to see how he does with a week of practice, and with a week of a defense game planning to defend him. jpg
