Tom has done a lot of TA work where its cornerstone is the offset (as opposed to the trend and momentum which is the more common TA). I've found his work interesting and home to some day include offset studies into my own work.

But I've found it to be little trading value because my trading timeframe is measured in days or weeks and not in months and years. When I was younger, I wanted to be a visionary. I had sketches and outlines of cpu architecture and programming framekworks. I conceived API and microservices before they existed. Most of my predictions came true, but they never got me anything.

These days I want to be just a little ahead of the time. To that end, I've worked hard for my indicators to predict ~3 days into the future. That is the timeframe that allows me to act without waiting too long or rushing in. Others have different timeframes and need to adjust their techniques and indicators differently. E.g. Andy had a notice the other day to "sell everything". When probed, his timeframe was in 3 months. Good enough for many, but way too much latency for me. When I say "sell everything", I mean today or tomorrow, not next week or next month.
