Texas sued in 2020 over some states violating the Constitution in the way they changed their election laws. 17 states supported the lawsuit - but it was dismissed based on a “lack of standing”. How can a state “lack standing” in an original jurisdiction dispute between states on a constitutional question - that I don’t know.

So, I doubt that the Lake suit will get very far. It seems like the SCOTUS made a decision to stay out of anything political.
