Scott, there are many times that a broker ( Omsbudman/ middleman/ agent/ general salesperson), does earn his commission, brokerage, fee for services in our service DEMANDING society. If one desires service -one must pay for services. Only in America, they used to say, could the pathway to riches and indepentant freedoms grow. Now, it is thru the spirit of the BROKERs of the world and still here in the Americas whether it be in Wall Street, Howe Street, Bay Street or the small towns of this land like our X-WATERS or Crosswaters or even the Backwaters like Clintons' Whitewaters, can if handled in a legal and ethical way ( and there are abuses ) lead to local growth in the economies and influence the growth of Regional and National Economies! Boy, am I getting wordy. This broker thanks his lucky stars that "Only In America"- I find about a half a dozen ways to earn a living and invest in my families' future in the last 30 years now of my working life. My first job was a Janitor in the Prudential Tower in Boston ( I lived 3 blocks away) and my mid career job was on the 47 th floor of that tower where I was a Property and Casualy Insurance Salesman of an operation affiliated with a larger broker, but I was the President of the Smaller Brokerage and now latter job change -several career redirections-a dozen plus years latter, I am in my forth year in Commericial Real Estate at a local Suburban Real Estate Office ( Easton, MA ) of get this, The Prudential. And it is a good SPRING! Rock Solid, or hard Knocks rocks, or even Hard Rock Mining ( Oh -Oh,Yeah-Placer Mining/Can you Imagine THAT I had an Idea TO PLACER MINE? Wel, I did, but I would not if I was NOT, a BROKER!) it doesn't matter. There are some that can only thrive in a free BROKER DRIVEN ENVIORNMENT. I was an insurance company Underwriter 25 years ago and was PROMOTED after I told an agent at CNA ...to..." Earn his commission!" Chuca |
