Things can change for Trump, especially if the US economy heads into a depression in 2024.
A depression didn't dislodge FDR from power. Far from it. It made FDR the only four-term president in the history of the United States.

I don't see any way in which Trump can win in 2024, unless he can somehow conjure up a "smoking gun" that proves 2020 was "stolen" from him.

Like PooTin who is banking his political survival on Ukraine, Trump is banking his political survival on election denialism.

That's why the economy is irrelevant when it comes to Trump's chances at a comeback.
