BLUE BELL, Penn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 12, 1998--Acrodyne Communications, Inc. ACRO announced today first quarter
sales of television transmitters to the International market exceeding $1 million. Acrodyne received many of its international orders from
stations in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Romania and Guyana.

Radio Jamaica Ltd, a publicly traded TV network with headquarters in Kingston awarded Acrodyne a contract valued at approximately
$575,000 to upgrade its nationwide VHF network to all-solid state transmitters. The order included emergency maintenance for the existing
(competitors) transmitters, turn on services and on-site training of Radio Jamaica engineers. Acrodyne expects to deliver the transmitters
and assist in completing Phase One of this project by early March. Phase Two of the project could involve an award of $500,000, for
delivery before the end of the year.

WVEO-TV of Southwestern Broadcasting Corporation in Puerto Rico has awarded Acrodyne an order of approximately $200,000 for the
first air cooled Diacrode UHF Television Transmitter to be installed in Puerto Rico, an Acrodyne model TRU/10KD. This transmitter will
be installed at channel 44 near Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. A repeat customer, WVEO-TV had previously purchased six Acrodyne transmitters
in the past three years. The 10kW transmitter system consists of an Acrodyne TRU/1 high performance exciter, a 500W solid state IPA,
and a single diacrode final amplifier. The order, which includes turn on, proof of performance services, plus on site training for WVEO
engineers, will be completed in March.

Antena I, a privately owned new television network with headquarters in Bucharest, received delivery in January of six additional
transmitters as Phase Two of their expansion program was completed. The value of this order was approximately $200,000. Two years ago
Acrodyne had provided eight transmitters and customer engineer training for the initial phase of the project. Antena I intends to provide
contemporary programming and coverage throughout Romania.

Guyana Television (GTV), a government broadcast network in Guyana, ordered two Acrodyne television translators and one television
transmitter in January to expand their coverage beyond the Georgetown metropolitan area. This project was valued at approximately
$100,000. With the addition of these transmitter/translators GTV will now reach approximately 70% of the country's population. Acrodyne
was very active in this marketplace last year as well, providing a total of ten transmitters to three private networks including six MMDS
transmitters to a new MMDS network.

Robert Mancuso, Chief Executive Officer of Acrodyne, commented, "International orders have been strong across all product lines and
highlight Acrodyne's growing international presence as a supplier of high quality TV transmitters. We expect our recent success to continue
with even more sales internationally and increased sales domestically, as stations begin the transformation to DTV ."

television broadcast equipment. In business over 25 years, the Company has developed the leading position as a technologically advanced,
