GNG, WM

Golden Goliath Resources aka GNG released a PR telling us that they have finished a four hole drill programme testing four prospects on their Wish Ore gold prospect in Ontario. There is no word on when we might get any assays, but we do hear that they are planning to run some geophysics in preparation for a more extensive drill programme next year, assuming the assays for the completed one are as expected.

The best thing about this PR is that it refers to a location called 'Crack Mouse Lake'. One wonders how it earned that monicker...

Then we got another PR form GNG the likes of which I cannot recall seeing before, announcing that a fire which had started next door spread and destroyed their core processing facility in Ontario. Fortunately only one hole from Wish Ore was being processed at the time, and it had already been logged and photographed, so they are reassembling it . As they put it, "any results from that hole will have an asterisk". Fortunately it was just a short preliminary hole to prepare for next year's larger drill campaign, so this is not a huge setback.

Today's release of more drill results from Wallbridge Mining aka WM's Fenelon gold project in Quebec brought two pieces of good news. First off they continue to define areas of near surface mineralization -- which they define as within 200m of the surface -- within and near the existing resource envelope in both the Tabasco-Cayenne and Area 51 zones, including intercepts like 2.66 g/t Au over 46.70m, 4.19 g/t Au over 24.00 m, and 8.91 g/t Au over 9.65 m. Obviously, the closer to surface, the less expensive the ore will likely be cheaper to mine.

As well, drilling in the recently discovered Southeast Extension zone continues to define what looks like a new mineable area, thanks to intercepts like 25.66 g/t Au over 1.50 m. WM also reported a number of other infill holes designed to increase confidence in the resource, and almost all of them found useful intercepts.

These results and any other from the ongoing Fenelon drilling that make it back from the labs in time will be incorporated into a revised Resource Report which will be released Q1, followed a an economic study (PEA/scoping study).
