It is accurate. nbcnews.com My read is that Sinema changed her Democratic affiliation to Independent because she was headed to a Democratic primary loss and she definitely wants to be reelected. The only conceivable path to victory for Sinema is through being an independent. And there are many independents in Arizona. Sinema has also promised big business interests in Arizona to never raise taxes for them. She has mistakenly perceived that the only way to win Arizona is through selling out to corporate interests. Mark Kelly, on the other hand, has come across as a moderate, but he is really a radical liberal. As an ex-Astronaut, he looks and speaks like a moderate too. You cannot win the Senate seat in Arizona by campaigning as a liberal.
