| | | Jacob has been around a long time, he used to be quite belligerent as a starting point, or maybe just blunt with little social awareness, like the lead character in "Doc Martin" or Sheldon with a mean(er) streak. Leads with aggression, possibly a protective strategy, I don't know, just amusing myself with surmise.
To his credit he has toned things down, we all get older. Every once in a while I run through this thought, that if there are 8 billion people in the world and I am in the top 1% of whatever smarts one measures, there are 80 million people around who are as smart or smarter. Even 0.1% leaves 8 million companions, still a lot of company, and so forth on up to Ted Kaczynski land. Anyway, it amuses me to think of such things late in the day. Apparently. |
