Gee! Another problem with Apple products.

I have a 2015, 27 inch iMac and a 2017, 15 inch MacBook Pro connected to a Mac Studio Display.

The trackpad on the Pro works flawlessly, the magic trackpad on the iMac has annoying latency when positioning the cursor on stock charts. My research indicates that I am not the only one who has experienced this problem. Internet comments indicate that this is a problem with the trackpad, and I have verified this by using the magic trackpad with my laptop.

This will probably keep me from getting an Mac Studio, because you have to use a magic trackpad, as the Mac Studo doesn't have an integral trackpad.

It is a shame to create an outstanding computer, the Mac Studio, and then spoil it by coupling it to an inferior peripheral.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

The only solution I have found is to buy a MacBook Pro instead, and pair it with the Studio Display.

The problem with a laptop is that they get hot, and the OS throttles back the performance to help keep the laptop from getting too hot. The solution I use for that is to have an external fan blowing on the laptop.

I recommend the $400 upgrade of the Studio Display to the height and tilt stand. I did a lot of thinking about purchasing that option, and I am glad I got it. It gives me a lot of flexibility.
