Having completed al 3 episodes (listened to 2 of them twice) - it’s a lot to digest.

There is a lot of discussion of the Ukraine war - and its likely scenarios for the future. A lot of more general subjects, as well.

Ultimately, the conversation is not optimistic. We get into wars - but we don’t ask ourselves why - and what do we want to get out of them. Our elites, too often, are authoritarian and arrogant. We do not learn from military mistakes - or defeats. They’re simply ignored and “written off” and forgotten. Or, whenever possible, made to look like victories. No one is ever held accountable - which means, no reforms - and no pressure to have higher expectations from the leadership.

An example from the civilian life - we all remember Biden and the Dems repeating on every occasion that CoViD is a pandemic of the unvaccinated - and insisting on mandates long after it became common knowledge that vaccines do not prevent or stop the disease. Will he (and those behind him) ever be questioned about that?

Probably not. No one is ever questioned. Don’t remember any of that getting much attention prior to the elections.

Looks like China’s “communist” regime is ahead of us in recognizing that the danger of CoViD, at this point, is equivalent to Flu. Message 34112497

Actually, case fatality from flu is higher than the 0.1% from Omicron.
