Mike,

we are all biased. Trying to be objective, I have to say the Sidman post is a rather extreme interpretation.

1) Korea is very cloudy but as I posted earlier, it appears QCOM has already taken a worst case scenario approach.

2) Handset prices coming dn is a fact of life and QCOM is trying their best to lower cost to compete. The biggest mistake, (my opinion), is the Q phone. I think the co clearly overestimated demand, especially in Korea. Sounds like they are moving production capability to the lower lines which are still in high demand. Since Q phones are more labor intensive, the temps are not needed for the lower lines.

3) There were no former discussion on how well the Samsung phones are selling vs QPEs.

4) If there were questions about management credibility, they were not expressed by the people asking questions.

5) The discussion regarding basestations focused more on vendor financing. I think Sidman is confusing vendor financing with buying business.

Judging from the one post, I don't think Sidman gave credible representation of the bear side.
