China ending the Covid nonsense
Beijing, Shenzhen loosen more Covid curbs as China easing gathers pace

cnbc.com

My Chinese friend writes:

Three years covid tougher control was just abandoned last week. Businesses suffering

Within next one and two months, more people will be infected Covid, then we will open order and return to 2019 life in April or may 2023

Millions of Covid test points were removed almost one night. Now top experts say Covid is not serious at all. The direction somehow changed dramatically

Completely stopped Covid control and no more tests, and will be very hard to take tests. But Chinese return from overseas is still big problem.

The border is not opened yet. My business partner went to Europe and now back to Hongkong and he has to wait xxx days in Hongkong for approval to enter Shenzhen. He is Chinese

Only 2000 people quota to enter Shenzhen per day, yet more than 10k chinese waiting to enter Shenzhen every day

So I estimate maybe next year from April, the international border will be freed

It is complicated to enter China. Once he gets approval to enter Shenzhen, he has to be quarantined in Shenzhen hotels for five days, then go home and stay home quarantined three days. 5+3
