The way things go, fighting against Russia - with their seemingly bottomless supply of rockets and artillery shells - is becoming an increasingly unattractive proposition. And, sooner or later, deals will have to be made. I doubt that very many people in the West still expect the whole thing to end in “regime change” and “de-colonization” of Russia. There will be very little appetite in the West to deceive Russia (like with Minsk) and to restart this war all over again. So, the next strategic task may become to restore relationships the best we can - and get that oil and gas flowing again. Tragically, not before many more people will get killed or maimed in the bloody late stages of the war.
