For reasons unknown, Amazon has Season 1 of Heartbeat then Season 7 onward. I don't know what we miss in between, but I expect it's a lot. My wife also read the Three Pines books and didn't agree with Molina's casting. He is sort of generically non-American when he wants to be and has a name that viewers of this genre would recognize.
